Facilities Services is responsible for the buildings, infrastructure, and grounds of the UC Berkeley campus. Its units include:
- Capital Projects: Manages the planning, design, construction, retrofitting, and restoration of campus buildings and their surroundings.
- Real Estate Services Office: Assists campus departments in leasing off-campus space. Also leases campus-owned property to outside entities.
- Physical Plant - Campus Services: Provides maintenance, custodial, and support services for campus facilities and grounds. Find help here if your unit has missing light bulbs, a leaky faucet, or other maintenance issues.
Sustainability at UC Berkeley: Promotes environmental management and sustainable development for the campus.
Space Assignments and Capital Improvements Committee: Addresses use and assignment of campus space, as well as capital-projects planning and the development of the capital-improvement program.
Seismic Action Plan for Facilities Enhancement and Renewal (SAFER): Provides details on structural seismic risks to campus buildings and on $500 million in seismic upgrades completed or initiated since 1997.
