More than 200 international scholars doing research on campus attended a visiting scholar reception April 29 at The Bancroft Hotel hosted by Dean Joseph Cerny of the Graduate Division.

Pictured here are Marius Johnsen Wulfsberg, a scholar from Norway doing work in the French department, who held his 6-month-old son, Hermann, as he spoke with Dean Cerny.

The celebration -- complete with a buffet and string quartet -- provided a unique opportunity for visiting scholars to meet their peers from other academic disciplines, as well as faculty and staff who provide services for them.
