Have a question? Need directions? Students and staff can point the way to all you need. Information Centers are at the following locations:

  • West Gate (two locations)

Getting Around shuttle bus icon return to top

See the campus map for routes and stops.

Cable Cars: Make a 30-minute loop around campus on a motorized cable car, running 8 am-4 pm. Hop on or off at any stop.

Campus Perimeter Buses: Catch a ride around the campus, with routes past the residence halls and Clark Kerr Campus. Buses run from 8 am-6:30 pm.

Hill Shuttle: Zip into the hills above campus — an catch the spectacular bay view — to see the Lawrence Hall of Science, UC Botanical Garden, Samuel L. Silver Space Sciences Laboratory, and Strawberry Canyon Recreation Area. The shuttle leaves every 15 minutes, 8:30 am-6 pm, from the east entrance to Evans Hall.

Buses and shuttles are wheelchair-accessible; cable cars are not.

First Aid first aid station iconreturn to top

A first-aid station is located in 36 Sproul Hall (basement level). The Tang Center (University Health Services) is open at 2222 Bancroft Way for emergencies. For assistance, go to the nearest Information Center.

Visitors With Disabilities

  • Electric carts with drivers, for visitors with impaired mobility
  • Maps of accessible paths and building entrances
  • Sign-language interpreting, available by prior arrangement and on a first-come, first-served basis.
